KYB and SkyUp launch first direct flight between Chișinău and Varna

On June 7, the first direct flight between Chișinău and the Bulgarian city of Varna took place. This new route from Moldova’s capital to the European Union became possible thanks to the joint efforts of real estate developer KYB Corporation and the airline SkyUp.
Until now, reaching Varna — one of Bulgaria’s most popular seaside resorts — from Chișinău required connecting flights, which significantly increased ticket prices and often led to delays and travel inconveniences.
With the new route, the ticket price for the KYB & SkyUp flight to Varna starts from €139, while the round trip Chișinău–Varna–Chișinău is available from €199 — up to 50% cheaper than connecting flights in some cases.
“We’ve made a major effort to make Varna more attractive and accessible for those who prefer to travel by air. This first flight is both a reward for that effort and a starting point for the future development of the Black Sea region. Vacations, business trips, and family visits are now faster and more comfortable — and Varna’s enormous tourism and investment potential will flourish even more,” said Oleg Nevzorov, CEO of KYB Corporation.
