KYB Corporation becomes a partner of the Orienteering Competition in Varna
9 December 2025
KYB Corporation continues to actively integrate into the social life of the countries and communities where it implements its projects. In Bulgaria, the corporation served as a financial partner for the 54th "8 December" Cup (original 8-ми Декември) in orienteering, organized by the "Academic" Sport Club (Varna) on the occasion of the student holiday.
The essence of orienteering is to quickly find control points located in unfamiliar terrain. This year, the competition was held in one of the most challenging locations in the region – near the Aladzha Monastery – gathering over 100 athletes of all ages, from children under 10 to experienced participants over 75.
This year's Cup was organized by Sport Club "Academic" (Varna) with the support of the municipality of Varna and the KYB corporation, which is implementing one of its flagship projects in Bulgaria, Forest Club, near the selected area.
As part of the partnership, KYB not only joined in organizing a large-scale event, but also contributed to the development of the community of young athletes. With the financial assistance of the corporation, GPS transmitters were purchased, which will now be available to the young members of the "Academic" Sports Club.
“For us, entering a new market always involves integration into the community. In implementing our project Forest Club in Varna, we strive to be not only a developer, but also a reliable partner for the city and its residents. We invest in sports training for young people because we believe that this is the best way to raise future winners and build a healthy nation," says Oleg Nevzorov, founder of KYB Corporation.
As is tradition, the chief judge and technical director of the competition was Dimitar Kalendev, the doyen of orienteering in Varna. The winners in the elite groups were teammates from "Runner" (original Бегун) (Varna), Natalia Atanasova and Dani Nikolov, and the team cup was won by the younger of the two Varna teams. The teams "Kompas-Cross" (Ruse) and "Dobrotitsa" (Dobrich) took second and third place.
As a responsible developer, KYB will continue to work systematically to enrich the social environment in Varna and provide opportunities for self-development and meaningful leisure activities.
