Regarding the Current Legal Status of Forest Club

In connection with the public discussion surrounding the Forest Club complex, we consider it important to clarify its current legal status.

We respect the positions of representatives of state and municipal institutions and understand that, at present, various competent authorities continue to collect, review and analyse a substantial volume of documents and circumstances related to the case.

We consider it particularly important to call on representatives of political parties to refrain from categorical public assessments and conclusions regarding legality before all prescribed procedures have been completed. We call for the situation to be considered in its entirety, with careful examination of the positions, documents and evidence presented by all parties.

Bulgaria is a state governed by the rule of law, which protects the rights and legitimate interests of its citizens and respects private property. The final judicial assessment regarding legality, as well as the determination of any potential liability where this is the subject of judicial proceedings, rests with the competent court after reviewing all evidence and the positions of the parties.

For our part, we act entirely within the framework of the law. The interests of investors and property owners are being protected by a team of Bulgarian legal professionals and attorneys through all legal mechanisms provided for under applicable legislation.

This work has already produced concrete results: the Administrative Court of Varna has suspended the preliminary enforcement of 12 removal orders relating to Forest Club. In addition, during the latest inspection of the complex, an unlawful interruption of the electricity and water supply was prevented. The relevant circumstances were officially documented, as was the fact that there is no unlawful connection to the networks of Energo-Pro and ВиК Varna.

We continue to cooperate with state and municipal institutions, providing all necessary information and consistently defending our rights and the rights of property owners through lawful means.

Our position remains unchanged: all matters should be resolved within the framework of the law and the rule of law, on the basis of documents and evidence and following their objective review by the competent authorities and the court.
